Episode 11: Gaming with Kids (Special Guest: Rich Sommer)

It’s all about gaming with kids this week. The wonderful Rich Sommer, actor and board game enthusiast extraordinaire, joins us on the podcast to discuss some of our experiences in regard to gaming with our kids. In the process we discuss some of our kid game recommendations, advice, dilemmas, and stories of gaming with kids. Of course we get a bit off topic and briefly discuss Rich’s work with the currently in development video game, Firewatch, as well as his experiences with his role in the video game L.A. Noire. Clint presents the Punch List that has us picking a board game that would be good for introducing a non-gaming family with a 4-6 year-old to the wonderful world board games beyond the childhood “classics.” At the time of this episode’s airing, Rich’s Cardboard! podcast is on hiatus, but we highly recommend you listen to the previous episodes if you haven’t already: cardboard.wolfpop.com

Also a big thanks goes out to Joe Haroldsen for letting us use his photo of playing Splendor with his nieces and nephews.
